Neck deep In debts kids And diseases You think Against facts That mister right Is merely caught Not turning back In traffic on his way Even now though vaguely You can remember him The man who wasn’t Worth mentioning When all you needed For the best of times Fit coyly in a pair of jeans So more bills will arrive In the morning's mail There’s clothes for school The car’s burning oil It’s hard to be hot On minimum wage Or just enough To keep the bank content Flirting now as well With permanent overdraft While you wait for someone Without a name .
