Everything Bones does,
he does for money.

Bones really does nothing for free.

He makes it all seem free,
but you better believe it’s not.

Bones takes care of his money,
and his money takes care of Bones.

UhHuh!

Bobby

Unfortunately, this is true for far too many.

Thanks Andrew,

Sometimes a single buck can be a lot of money.

It is unfortunate the things people will do for money.  But I suppose circumstances can dictate the actions of individuals.  How sad.

Thanks Earl,

Yes, it is sad.  People do what they have to do.

It is sad some of the things that young people would do for money.  In your book `City Boy Stays Alive` there is a character named Fred who prostitutes himself for money.  The boy smiles and waves and yells, `Hey mister, take me home.`  If it weren`t for caring people, these children would be at the mercy of the perverts of the street.  Bones takes care of his money and his money takes care of him but at a price.

Thanks Earl,

You have it right about Bones and Fred.

It's a rotten life.

I was reading one of your poems in the archives and I came across `I will miss Mr. Tabin`.  Who was he and what was his pen name?

Dear Bobby, in our epoch nothing goes without money. Money is not evil in itself, what we make with it and of it is the question.
To do somebody a good turn is in the very real sense of the word "priceless" and we should not neglect this possibility.

Love,
Margherita

Earl,

I'm sorry I forgot Mr. Tabin.

Which poem was that in?

Dear Margherita,

Believe it or not, Bones is very generous with everything he has, including money.

I have been reading your poems in the archives since I had read all of the Bones poems in Open Poetry 46.  I read everything that you had in archive 41 and moved on to the next one.  In archive 42 I found a poem about Mr. Tabin called `I`ll Miss Mr. Tabin`. ----- I finished your book `City Boy Stays Alive` and found it very enjoyable.  My favorite poems were `Paregorie`, `Marika` and `Asbury Park`.  It is a remarkable collection of poems and if I were you I would post the amazon.com link up if you wish to reply to this message.  Thank you writing a great book and I hope that others can enjoy it as well.
