Moisture granules Tranquility embraced the subtle waves of the golden beach, Moisture soaks, ferments the granules in silent speech, Messy hatches of nets hang its face down on the soil boat, Wrinkle skin caressing tender bones, a big lump in my throat. A holy pilgrimage, husky rice, pomfret fish’s smells really fine, Calcium shells sells; in a watery hole a fair crab tastes its wine, Take an exciting ride with the illiterate, helpless little pony, Beware of the little thieves and the elderly idle smart phony. Humanity hides behind shady horizon, human race as gone absurd, Innocence trampled to pieces; infancy here is a caged bird, Hunters come from across the ocean; foolish are my own men, Agonizing but true, Paedophiles have found a new cozy den. ©Prasad.N March 11th 2010 All rights reserved to Prasad.N "Hardwork pays in the long run" |

Hello Prasad, it is a long time since I read you, Your poem is so well written that it made me unconfortable to hear about peadophily, but some men are really sick and we can't ignore that...Thanks for the beautiful intervention. regards yann |

Hey, Prasad - I remember you (in my best "My Big Fat Greek Wedding" voice). You poem is very intricate and bounces me in and out of two realities. Nicely done, my friend. |

a tough read, but as said before, the subject matter cannot be ignored...you have raised the issue in such a way that you get the point across with great clarity...thank you for not only sharing, but caring |

Yo Prasad, Having spent a great deal of time in India consulting on chemical plant construction, I do have one complaint. The pomfret fish. They always seemed to be small and boney there. Why is that? I found the pomfret fish to be much bigger and better in Mexico. Bobby |

Prasad, my friend. So good to read your voice and see you once again. As I silently read this poem, I realized it had to be read aloud. So as best I could, I did...and was amazed at the difference in reading aloud as opposed to reading silently. So many s's... It was going well until I hit upon the crux of your poem...one of those poems that twist one at the end...with a bite of reality thrown into the visage of what could have been a wonderful adventure in a foreign [to me] country. Truth is what it is [and that's a variation of a remark I heard from my six year old granddaughter only yesterday. ] Now, please...write more? Soon? |

The opening sentences are not merely beautiful but rich. But evil hinted at in the phrase `wrinkle skin caressing tender bones` warns us that danger towards children can be present anywhere. Such a sad poem. |

The opening stanza paints-- but this? Gave me chills: "Take an exciting ride with the illiterate, helpless little pony, Beware of the little thieves and the elderly idle smart phony." That's anywhere and everywhere and timeless. That is so insightful. You have much intrigue. Enjoyed. |
