   the shadows of your love

On these nights
of veiled-moon splendor
near the farthest reach
of Time and Winter’s
   vicious siege
when life has lost all dimensions,
and final ‘friends’ and hopes
melt away like the snows,
I am left on this precipitous
edge of a dark-alone,
drowning in the shadows
   of your love.
