His coat rode the war As the tribesman began To lose each other To the pellets of guns He rode the wind With a simple walk Like the gentle sway Of the palm trees with the wind. He had lost many men Many brothers and friends That transcended the night And moved the words from the sun Into the windows of their heart He wore his coat With such pride Each sleeve in colors of gold He was the merchant of the sky The one who rode through the war unscathed With the message of ÒToday is foreverÓ Written across his heart. |
