It came to me this morning, now, and I studied it full face as if watching stand-up comedy awaiting the punch-line. But silence issued from the lips, the eyes were stark and staring, and the pose like one uncaring of me and you and them. Like a statue, yes, indeed it was, yet it followed my perceptions, bowed down to my core belief, and played out every thought. Ah-ha! It's life; you know it is! Helen / 25 February 2011 |

This made me smile Helen. Great poetic description of our own consciousness. It'll last until the dirt nap then there'll be changes to make.....smile... Loved it! Eric oxymoron....Rap Music |

Sometimes what we face, when we contemplate our inner self is much more than we bargained for, but you seem to have found peace. For that I am happy. I have a feeling that even the dirt nap will somehow find room for poetry. For after all, our lines and rhymes and hurts and loves live on. ~ Give a person a fish and you feed them for a day. Teach a person to use the Internet and they won't bother you for weeks ~ |

Thanks Eric. Love the expression "dirt nap" but I ain't taking no nap in the dirt thank you very much. I'll be ... okay, I don't actually know but I do know that I'll be free! Jerry - thank you. It's the "living on" of some things that bother me. Freedom cannot be tied to anything that was and yet, and yet, some things are so glorious that I'd like to take them with me. Talk about a dilemma!
