I do believe that this bores me. I do believe that you're bored too. Let's go buy some real cute shoes so we can dance until we lose the tickets for these trains of thought, forgetting incidentals brought to the surface of our brains. We'll have more reason to complain as we soak our toes in pain, at the salon in pedicure, smug as status is assured-- too good to scrape our own damned feet?
I contemplate the cost of shoes.

ah, sweet faith, you are very good to me, m'friend. (And I made a quick edit--chuckle--I simply can't resist changing stuff.)
Thank you so much for your thoughtfulness.

Oh, I'm with you Serenity, I am forever changing my poem that I post. This one had a classic feel about it, notwithstanding the cost of those darn shoes.~ Life is sexually transmitted ~

I have a confession.
I've only had one pedicure in my entire life.
But it's my metaphor, so I'll pretend.
I'm all caught up in fraught, today. I made a list of worries and realized I'm shallow.
Thanks for reading, Jer.

(: My girl friends and I use shoe shopping as a metaphor for men shopping....
So this poem made me smile I can say that I have never had a manicure or a pedicure lol. I do my own nails (and very poorly)

AHA! I caught you contemplating!
Tis a wonderful moment, it is!
I've had one pedicure....
and due to my husband's wonderful cousin,
two massages and three foot rubs...
ah, but on a cruise?
Oh but never mind...we're talking about the cost of shoes....
ahhh...who needs shoes when your feet are happy free?

Ha, brilliant is the word, I agree!
Our feet deserve our full attention and care ... on either occasion - barefoot dancing or hiding in nice shoes - they require top form. Thoughts flow easier "through" happy feet I would say ...
Pedicure at the salon is sinfully expensive, it's more a necessity than a privilege, of elderly ladies ... my reason is different of course I have no patience!
Lol.
Love, Margherita

I have never had a pedicure, but you make me want one, Karen. Let's not buy shoes; let's just go steal Belle's!

***LOL*** @Alison
charming right? sadly they're not as pink as in the picture I was kinda annoyed at that...but they're lovely still...
shoes, are certainly a weakness of mine...the cost of shoes, as in Serenity's poem...is just fatal to me....LOL

I have another confession--I can't wear heels. Except in bed.
And once again, I was inspired by something I saw on television--a young lady confessed that she'd spent 48 thousand dollars on shoes in one year...
I'm more of a barefoot kind of girl m'self. But thanks to Mysteria, I do now value the regular use of a pumice stone.
But women and shoes? Well that all started because of men, lovin' women's legs.
So celebrate the shoe, indeed. But I'll be the one in flats--I've got enough problems with balance as it is.
Love you all!

*lawsy*
I yam exhausted. Enjoyed the parades today though, and that last move of mine did me in. (Worth it though--I have a new feather boa--that would look mighty nice with some spike heels. Er--NOT. *laughing*)
I'm off to slough my feet.
Then I'm gonna hug my bed and watch "Big Love."
Mardi Gras Mambo's to you all
Thanks for reading, and my love to you all.

My feet got ugly.
Vanity...my second favorite sin. <--laughing like Al Pacino.
And I tend to agree with you about the poem. It's a total failure, since I intended it to be a commentary about misplaced values.
I didn't say that before, because ...well? Shoes evoke a such a passion in some, that I didn't want to offend anyone and thus provoke them to defend that passion by planting a stiletto in my forehead.
Good to see here, lovie.
