Painted in pastels awash in the morning sky together we rose and fell wrapped around a sunbeam that filtered through the shades. Once we stood so close at the edge of the horizon separating the space between us. Like a hot flame before our eyes clinging to the warmth, left to gaze. Bleeding through the sunset running through the fire windswept across the sky. dark dancing in the shadows left to dream of crimson clouds. For a time, in perfect shades swirling in and all around a sight to have and to behold now pales in the afterglow fading in the light of love. |

Bluesy, your words always match your own spirt so beautifully, always so soft, and tender, even when the ending is sad. Love the first verse, and then it just gets even better all the way to the end. Please, don't ever stop writing. Richard ![]() |

the stanza from which your title was taken was simply amazing: "Bleeding through the sunset running through the fire windswept across the sky. dark dancing in the shadows left to dream of crimson clouds." ...every line...what's not to like about everything! |

What can I say that your rooting section hasn't said? Not much, still, I wanted to put my two cents (with inflation, etc., two cents is now four dollars) worth. You have a positive outlook on life, I have noticed all, at least most of your poems reflect that outlook. I envy you that. ~ Life is sexually transmitted ~ |

lovely imagery, when a poet is so attuned to what they are expressing you can almost see through their eyes what they are seeing and feeling.. I felt that here very well done! |

Lori...To be wrapped up so in the sunrise and then express it with the depth of that emotional awakening...just lovely and more! |

Okay ... just for fun ... Crimson Curtains There is so little between us, now, Just the flimsy, crimson curtains of night time, Passion and Desire, just the gossamer thin drapes of Time, Circumstance and Space. It can not be much longer, now, Because already we both love, And already know that love is inclusive, unconditional. It can not be much longer, now. I wait with open lips and arms; I wait with a full to overflowing heart. |

I have to make time to get in here more often, as I almost missed this, and it truly would have been my loss. Just gorgeous Bluesy. |

Wow, love it. And I think if I were to summarize it, I could do so in your own words, using just the first line of each stanza....plus the last line from the last stanz. "Painted in pastels Once we stood so close Bleeding through the sunset For a time, in perfect shades [then] fading in the light of love." Beautiful write my friend... j. |
