Note: An old photo (reprocessed to make it viewable) of My Favorite Steed with saddle blanket still on from our morning ride, grazing in the side pasture with some of his sheep friends just before being brought into the barn. He was one of the rare, Checkered breed of stallions. ![]() My Favorite Steed © wesley james beard, jr. march 2011 Note 2: Must confess ... the photo is from today don't have any originals of the 'old stallion...", (chagrin), but it does resemble him. Hard to read, man, but I got the gist of it. I fought the same varmints with my Red Ryder B.B. Gun and my favorite stick horse, Splinters. ~ I went to a restaurant that serves "breakfast at any time" / I ordered French Toast during the Renaissance ~ |

Thanks Jerry, see if that color change on the text makes it easier to read. j. |

Jimmy, i am glad this is Pip and I am amongst friends – I probably wouldn’t say this anywhere else, but the demise of your steed, has the tears rolling down my face – I love your darling worthy steed and his beautiful sheepy friends (and Jerry’s stick horse and Martie’s plum tree horse) – and obviously your poem too – I read your reply to Ford’s poem, On The Way To The Bus Stop that was the birth of this photo and poem.
