The pain I felt the day you died stole my breath away Everyone told me the heartache would heal with each and every day It's been six years since I've seen your face and the pain still grows inside Heartache is something that never heals...turns out everyone lied |

I don't know that pain like that really heals. I think it abates and returns whenever our memories are jogged. I equate this kind of pain like being a surfer - we just ride the waves when they come powering in. Thank you for sharing this. Alison |
