shadowy sights and vibrant sounds of lace-work tatted in periwinkle nettings of ivory-baked invitations to venues of exclusive inclusions I do’s aplenty abound from the giving to the taking as lives unshared meld into one to synchronize the shadows of love’s lengthening cast into the souls and hearts of lovers |

to synchronize the shadows of love’s lengthening cast ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ That is one of the prettiest things I've ever read. Your thoughts are not showy or wordy and certainly not overdone, they just feel so right an so comfortable. Good on ya, good poet~ |

What she said. I truly enjoy when a poem says just enough in just the right way. This does so expertly. ·´~`·»Garapan«·´~`· "Look! Crumbs on his jacketses... Heeee took it!" |

Nice wordplay without shooting off fireworks, just let the words "speak" for themselves. ~ I went to a restaurant that serves "breakfast at any time" / I ordered French Toast during the Renaissance ~ |

I am sure this was your daughter's most favourite, favourite wedding present. She is very lucky to have you as a father - and a poet to boot, Steaven! Owl |

I remember writing things for my daughter's wedding . . . seems I never got it quite the way I wanted it...seems you may have, though, my friend. enjoyed. j. |

Garapan, thank you for the oh so kind and generous comment. I, like you, believe that clarity should be the essence of brevity. faith, thank you very much Coco, you are very kind. (love your font choice!) Alison, I thank you…but, I must admit…it is easier to write beautifully when your subject is beautiful…and my daughter truly is Miss M, thank you for choosing to comment on that line…sorry I did not get back to this until so long after the wedding |

Jerry, thank you…and while I do love fireworks, I have always enjoyed the role of observer Lori, I appreciate your reading and commenting Ida, thank you…she is a special daughter (but then, I might be a tad biased) Al, thank you…serene is a good place to be kingsangel, thank you…sort of just came out that way…I am glad you liked it callalily, your comments are very generous…thank you Owl, thank you. You are so kind, but her favorite present was when I presented her to be married. Martie, thank you…that was exactly what I was trying to get across…heart sounds (I like that) …heart sounds…smiles jwesley, but have you not learned one of the great principles of life? Fathers are always in the right when it comes to their daughters…I am sure you got it right. Thank you for the glowing comment, though. |
