Upon reviewing your lovely type-written letters safely placed in a three-ring binder it is almost like having you here your rasping voice insisting i please consider your few minor changes in my lines followed most often by your asking me not to be angry with you please i am sure you were sure i never listened to you- my mentor and friend for so many years but i learned more about writing poetry from you than you will ever know mostly because your sudden passing robbed me of the chance to tell you just exactly how i felt There must be a poem in here somewhere. |

Sad poem. Ed's legacy will carry on, however, within the framework of your poetry, Faith. ~ Some people are like a Slinky -- not really good for anything -- but you still can't help but smile when you shove them down the stairs. ~ |

Sad to hear about the loss of your mentor. Hope Pip is helping to fill a bit of that void. Lori |

i am sure you were sure i never listened to you- my mentor and friend for so many years ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ That's so very touching. It's true, people don't always realize what a difference they make/made in our lives. Much enjoyed your heartfelt poem~~ |

I smile. ![]() (First, allow me to apologize for not replying sooner--your photo is quite the distraction for me as you do remind me so much of my beloved Grace Slick--stops me in my tracks.) I enjoyed this so much since it brings to mind fond memories of treasured poetry-critique friendships. Thanks so much for sharing. Enjoyed. |

so poignant...death robs us every time of the coulds and substitutes the shoulds...on a brighter note...I'm sure your mentor was pleased with you |

This touched home, faith, as I have notes from deceased family, friends, that are akin to the flavor of this poem. You were blessed. ![]() |
