you asked me to bring along the unicorn again
something about how it looked in the parking lot
when you were putting your eyes on too quickly

hoping you could distract my imagination
but you knew it was too late for that
since I was already there plowing your lawn

and leaving words at random scattered there
where you had manicured just in case I fell
face down deeply intent on staying captive

even longer than your imagination would allow
but I guess we had that in common really
ruining boundaries even if only in fantasy ways

and blaming unicorns for their sweet distraction

What a delightful vision you provide, unicorns are perfect companions for sweet dreams ... they transform parking lots in romantic islands where boundaries are non existant.
