written November 22,2005 We see your faces plastered All over the T.V. screen We see all your suffering We see all the sad things But there is still hope We see you starving away They say send money to help you And we send all that we can We even send food To help nourish you Some of you have no homes No clothes on your backs We send the things That we have no use for And hope it gets to you safely Even though some people See you as a pathetic plea To spend their money Others see the urgency And show the love So to the children of the world Who are homeless Have no clothes on their back Have no food to eat or medicine to take We love you and will help you in anyway When the family is together, the soul is at peace - Russian Proverb |

Yep. Pitiful images. It is a shame that this can go on in the world. It is equally a shame (more really) that so many of the places that advertise for donations to help them children are out and out shams. Even when you fine one that actually gets the money where it is supposed to go more times than not it is stolen by the politicians before it ever get to the children. I think they should take these people out and shoot them ten minutes after they have discovered they have stolen the money. Do that enough times and the money would start helping the pitiful kids. Guess you can see this is a sore spot with me. ~ What's The Difference Between Roast Beef And Pea Soup? / Anyone Can Roast Beef. ~ |

Jerry, thanks for the comment. Yes, I see it is a sore spot. That is why I don't donate to them even though I would like to. But that does not mean I still do not have compassion for them. Faith, thank you for your comment. I do have compassion for these children. I hate to see anybody living a life like that. When the family is together, the soul is at peace - Russian Proverb |
