Sitting in the doorways and sleeping in cardboard boxes rummaging through the trash cans of despair this is the city of brotherly love a place of great beauty, man made progress of technological wonder, that merges the vastness of human endeavors, sweeping its brush into the future and leaving behind it's poor it's helpless to die under the ones and zeros. |

Right on Mike! We have sophisticated technological communication and yet millions are isolated from their fellow man in their rooms of escape. Never to see the things going on around them. Really enjoyed this piece. Eric ain't doin nothin at all just answerin the call and kinda driftin away from it all |

I missed commenting on this way back in January. But you can't blame everyone else for the fault of individuals. Yes, there are truly cases where someone, or some agency should step in and help. Look, I used to be there. I have done the street thing, sleeping in missions, Salvation Army, but I fought my way out of it. So can most of the ones who are there now. ~ My grandmother is over eighty and still doesn't need glasses. Drinks right out of the bottle. ~ |
