Catching glimpses of my reflection that don't make me cringe seem few and far between I catch a glimpses of lost in thought's furrowed brow frown Take in the tenseness of shoulders up under my ears and the oh so tired eyes glimpsing me off guard But glimpsing me just now in my favorite jeans and soft baggy shirt that one offering a shoulder's view Sporting my long haired bed-head hair do while putting clean sheets on the bed I caught a glimpse of me an other woman trying to catch my eye with her smile. 1/30/11 |

What the hell is a "bed-head hair do" fer christsakes? Oh, the poem. That other woman has been there all along, 'bout time you met. ~ Good health is merely the slowest possible rate at which one can die. ~ |

Call me warped but I DO get bed head hair do! Quite a description, Lori! This is the mark of a great writer...taking a thought like that, that many can relate to with their "what happened to me?" attitude, and turning it into an excellent piece of writing. The lady is there... |

this is great! I am quite fond of bedhead hair. My hubby tells me all the time how good I look in the morning. I'm sure it's because he hasn't put his glasses on yet. |
