Weeps In Estascy Adjacent to my left hand, yours, on the table, my skin hot and quivering, anticipation so strong. . . my will all but dies to touch you, yet I dare not move - desire . . . oh, desire crawls up my spine, clutches my soul, squeezes my heart, pounds in my temples - Adjacent to my left hand, your right one moves, brushes mine . . . oh my, oh, my . . . oh . . . my soul weeps in ecstasy. © wesley james beard, jr. january 2012 |

As I was reading this I was thinking about the chemistry which was paramount between myself and my first wife. She was so beautiful I was slightly intimated, and that is how I read this poem. Yes, I can still recall the electricity which surged into my body when our hands touched as we sat talking at her mother's dining table. Beautiful memories, yes, yes, indeed. ~*~ If they give you lined paper, write sideways ~*~ |

The anticipation... and then the touch... and you know why you live. *S* My heart smiles at your weep of soul! *S* |

Powerful...this takes the reader right into the moment! How those 'small' touches can mean so much.... Enjoyed! Best, Amaryllis |

It's absolutely amazing what the simple act of brushing someone's hand can do, isn't it? Love this my friend. |

Jerry - not the first electrical surge I've ever had around women -- now, ater many years of marriage, it's not exactlty a surge, but an everlasting current… suthern - Thank you my friend, for the awesome light of your smile . I bask in its glow. Amaryllis - That you would feel it, brings life to the words. Thank you. Nicole - It, is, isn't it - and having you notice means a lot to me. Michael - That you could feel the tingle, means the words I chose, worked, and you more than read - you experienced (and that's the name of the game )/ Alison - Thank you Alison - I'd happily strain your oatmeal! Margherita - You see beauty in everything, my friend, no matter how marred it may be, and that makes you an angel of the first order. Bless you. Juju - Ah, I read your work and wish I could emulate your way with words; having you like this warms my heart. |
