The late day introspection dims, on these, the solitary hours, when images would rise above the flatline of the nightsky Nowhere as vibrant, yet soft echos sustain within the natural order as days rewind May I take your hand not so much with satin glove, nor the offer of a surrogate rose, but with a psalm of truth as I express you are not missed but I confess I miss the poetry the courting of the green the rain that plays reveille on countless country roads and wherever else our spirits roamed I miss the grand revival at the stoic hours, when our pens collaborated, the ink most potent with the nightengale's reminder the need for validation to feel again the rapture does exist, yet strangely for the most part, in lieu of carnal knowledge, I long instead to simply lose myself within the poet's rhyme. |

Interesting theme. Glad to be rid of the so-and-so, but wishes to retain something, maybe the only thing, he had of value. His rhyme. I really like this poem. Very much. Yep. It works. ~*~ If they give you lined paper, write sideways ~*~ |

Sometimes a poem strikes just the right cord, EmmaRose. Love this poem and the thought between the lines. I so understand it. 8da |
