midnight moonbeams
my company
thinking of the day just ended
constellations offer encouragement
remembering passion spent
stars banded together
for an a cappella serenade to my goddess
memories shared
I feel I'm back in her loving arms
oh, the wind played out a tune
so gentle and  understanding
reminiscent of sweet kisses
in a gentle rain we shared
and in the rain we made love
until sundown caused us to part

with feelings such as these
you know you're in love

then . . .

clouds moved in
covering up our future
hail like large marbles
drown out any argument that might have been
thunder sealed fates
causing frustration nil
ragged streaks of lightning
pushed a barrier between us
a hurricane blew into our world
screaming all is lost . . . all is lost
the drama the heavens wrought
now is calm . . . now is calm
if it was all just a bad dream
why does it hurt so much

with feelings such as these
you know you're in love

Sometimes it's a good idea to have a
"Love's Barometer"

Very interesting write, Jerry.
Enjoyed watching the storm, and then the calm.

Damn those hurricanes!  Enjoyed this, Jerry.  Without the agony would we know the ecstasy?

When you're right, you're right, Honeybunch, about the agony and the ecstasy. Hah! I do believe there was a movie by the name. Thanks you for being here again . . .

suthern, the hail has been reduced to a few sprinkles of rain, not enough to be bothered about. Thank you for stopping by and for your best wishes.

Sounds like the weather in the south, which is almost as intense as this.  I'm happy to see the storm abated.

Some dreams can truly shake you, especially when loved ones are involved.  The waking emotion is not only real, but often overwhelming.  And yes... You definately "know" it's love.  Love suits you well, JP.  Enjoyed this.
