Like A Firefly Anytime you like, you can hover the night sky like a firefly, spread your color within borders, light a mystery, lift this misery and meet me on the corners tell me the truth tell me the truth as far as I can see... Kindness is a kite that you last flew in the breeze of youth you're taking the devil tail down, to rise up inside angel wings spiked the coffee-brown sundown to speak in tongues your races are run as far as I can sing... You make me grasp for air you crucify me to the armchair you play the seven little sins in shades of grey door bust open, I will never fade no I will never fade away Dive into the night things that you have left on the treble cleft melodies hang from clotheslines the stars that fall out of my songs meet me in the back of my mind tell me the truth c'mon tell me the truth all is quiet at dawn... You make me want to dream when you come into the air stream you play my bones like aching black piano keys broken telephone, I will come back I will conquer your seas Yeah I want to dream this night wide open and all that I'll ever have in mind is apparent yeah all that I have in heart for you is on my sleeve love, love like wings that take their leave back into the spilled coffee sundown and oh I wanna swim through this night watch you hover the swirling sky, firefly-like anytime you like baby anytime you like C'mon tell me your truths... "Negotiations & love songs are often mistaken for one and the same."--Paul Simon |

Has a smooth flow and your choice of words, metaphor rich, makes for a nice song. Enjoyed. JL ![]() Love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind. Love your neighbor as yourself. |
