Lean strong arms reach out with rough work worn hands to hold and lift her up like precious glass from her wheelchair as she gets back in the car after our Sunday nights out My father never handled her with so much care He touches her as he would his own mother if she were still here And through his eyes I see precious glass in ways new and dear LGR(C)1/9/12 |

Deeply touching yes, dear Lori! Just passed yesterday close by a man who spoke softly to his Mother while he helped her out of the wheelchair into the car. His tender voice touched me, he was so patient while she seemed almost unable to co-operate. Such situations touch the heart. Your poem conveys this so beautifully. Margherita |
