we were the limbs of the joy tree
entwined with our urges between
using words we found at random
but they fit our needs with gloving

you said it was cold against you
that wall of your protective caution
so I slipped in between you there
where you were wearing my exposure

you looked at me with your eyes
but touched me with your mind ends
leaning over my boldest gifting
and hurting yourself slowly often

I mentioned you wore lovely colors
you changed back into blush again
but didn't wear it for very long
as you said what we had between us

should always be only our sin skins

Who knew something cold could be that warm.   I like how you paint her.

You often tell a story in just a line... Here, it took a while for me to get past the first line... for memories slapped my face and dragged me under... and then I had to mourn joy all over again... and I've already attended its funeral too many times. *S* But I'm glad I fought the fight and persevered to read the more... you had more stories to tell and I appreciate them all. *S*
