DARED TO FEEL
7 January 2012

She exchanged her constricting cloak of cynicism
for a volatile veil of vulnerability
and gave sunshine permission to seep into her soul
and allowed her grimace to relax into a smile
and cardiac-laughter to bubble like a hot spring
as she savoured,
with ecstasy,
her glass
half-full
of wonder
and half-full
of strength.

Wonderful, dear Diana! Makes me stand in awe ... though I think it was the soul who allowed you to become aware of its never fading, permanent, all encompassing radiance.

Brava!

I think I am able to relate to this optimistic and well-written piece of writing, Owl.

Thank you, Margherita for your lovely words.

Thank you, Jerry.  I am glad you think you are.  I hope I am too.  It isn’t always easy.

Thank you, Tracie.  Again, I say, not always easy.

I'll have some of what you're having, Diana.
Sounds very soothing.

I want to feel the bubbles rise, those myriad orbs of mirth that give voice to conscious joy and effervescent being!  Such a precious essence here, Diana.  Divine reflections.

Thank you, Bruce.  Glad you thinks so.

Thank you, Kat.  Glad you did.

Thank you, Ida.  Giggles.

Thank you, Karen.  Oh, I hope you do.

Thank you, Belle.

Have to be very brief. Serious computer problems.  It (Lilian, the laptop) may die soon.  She is having surgery tomorrow.

Read this before, but I see I didn't comment...:-(

Sounds like your glass is full..I like the wonder half the best..something that is a shame to lose the sense of.

Thank you, Margherita.  Lilian  is back from surgery.  So far, so good, but I will only be able to tell in a few days how successful the surgery was.  She turned on first thing, but now she has a pain in her spacebar. I have to press it between 1 (normal) and 10 (hammering) times for it to work.  I hope that this will come right with use.

Thank you, Ford.  Smiles.  The wonder is always there.  I struggle a bit with the strength sometimes, though.

Thank you, Karilea.  I am glad it rang true for you, when you read it.  May, it always be so.  I am honoured that you feel it is wise.
