The signpost of life will carrying you through,
Etched on its weathered sign where you should go.
It all depends whether your heart is true,
Stand for something or just go with the flow?
Pay close attention to your life's blueprint,
Ignore it at your peril and folly.
The signpost is there to usher you in,
Its like having your own personal key.
Still there are those who ignore the signpost,
They follow their heart instead of a sign.
They prefer to strike out alone and boast,
Living life large and guzzling its wine.

When all's said and done and life is no more,
Heart followers smile passing through the door.

Thank you very much, bel1e, I like sonnets, but I can never believe I get them "just right" when I write one.

I have about as much meter as a pile of dirt; but I can hear it, and I like this.  I envy your ability to write in so many styles.  (I'm not complaining though!)

I love how you complain, if that was what you were doing, and you said you weren't, so I'm doubly happy Thank you so much.

Tell me about it, JL, I've even rewrote a few of them to fit my strut. Thanks for being here.
