My Life with Spasms My life in the game of spasms is like any game we play I wake up in the morning and I always start to pray Will the game I choose to play be easy for a toddler? Or will that game I chose to play make my spasms tauter? When we play a game of baseball we always want to score But in the game of spasms we might just be too sore It does not really matter if I win or lose the game As long as we can walk away and always feel the same In my game of spasms, I always feel this way Tomorrow I might win the game, it’s just another day In my game of spasms I will listen to my team They know about my spasms and help with self-esteem! Now football season has arrived, the stadium is full And when I sit down in the stand my spasms start to pull But as I watch the quarterback running to the goal My spasms are relaxing, I want to rock and roll In my life of spasms the game is never done I know that by tomorrow I'll make a touchdown or home-run 'Cause everyday is different in all the games we play And in my life of spasms I just pray I’ll be okay! To all who suffer with me Please don’t ever be afraid Because I know that someday We'll be leading the parade I do the MS Walk everyday!! |

This is an awesome poem. Never heard of the game of spasms. It sounds interesting though. When the family is together, the soul is at peace - Russian Proverb |

This word story is interesting but sad. The picture tells me you are living with anguish. The spasms crossing your face and causing pain within your body are showing in your words and choice of self portrait. May you be blessed with healing soon. latearrival |

Muscle spasms are a hateful painful thing. Worse than a break most times. The pain is more acute and sharp. Take your breath away most times. Good poem describing how you cope with it all. Eric Forget the Psychiatrists they just find out all about you and sell you back to yourself! |

Marti, I am so blessed with such health and energy, and I have said so many times to so many people that I WISH I could cut off huge chunks of my health and/or energy and hand them out to everyone who needs them (mine, I am sure, would just re-generate). I would love to give you one of those chunks, but sadly, I don’t know how. However, I will add you to my prayers instead. Owl [This message has been edited by OwlSA (01-27-2011 12:09 PM).] |
