Written to a friend who cared
When once he heard
that I had news of yet another
close friend's death.
He wrote and sent a lovely poem
to let me know he understood.

Somehow I knew soft words
would come from you.
Because you may think
That I am much too sad.

Have no fear,for I know
It is a given
That some times
our thoughts are driven

But no,I am glad.
That we have had these years
To live and share good days
I carry no fears
But cherish the days we've had.

Margherita,Thank you. My friend,Fran, was only 67 years old. I recently reread some of the notes and letters she had sent to me over the last twenty years. She called me her mentor and boosted my morale so many tines over the years.

Why should she have to go and I nearing 80 years stay behind?

You were a precious gift to each other, dear Martyjo, you and dear Fran. While she was down here and the friendship continues through the soul connection, I am sure.

Yes, those are questions to which we don't have the answers. It's somehow written in the stars, but we can't "read" from this distance ... Dear Fran surely knows now.

jo,

I read this the other day and thought of my Mom.  She has said much the same things to me.  This is good and I am going to share it with her.

Love you,
Alison
