for the things I cannot change
I will not dwell
for to dwell is to reside
and some things are not worth
the weight on my mind
I shall live in the moment
allowing myself to go with the flow
of everyday living
allowing myself to have a life
not just "exist"
for to dwell
is to be weighed down in the depths
of the world around me
and I want to swim freely in this
universe of life
not drown in it's swell

Oh, tracie66, if I could have come to terms with the words within this well-crafted poem of yours much earlier in my life, I probably wouldn't have spent Christmas alone this year. Still, it matter not, I guess when we learn things, as long as we do figure out what it's all about. (Alfie?)

45 years old and I'm still trying very hard to work it out, i think it all starts with forgiveness. There are some things we cannot forget/change but there is always forgiveness in the heart. I forgave someone this year about a month before Christmas & spent the morning with that person along with my husband & daughter, it felt good that they all felt good (if that makes sense)
