Your cherished words were dispersed
in life’s remote corners here and there,
besides within treasure boxes of my brain.
I assembled them into fragrant bouquets
held together by tender heartstrings.

Then I launched them into the skies
upon itineraries of peaceful oblivion,
as flowers of long forgotten seasons.
But now relentlessly they shower me
with petals drenched in loving memories.

I have washed them in my tears
caused in times of joy or sorrow,
partly they were absorbed by the soil.
Now they all bloom around my feet
spreading a scent of Spring so sweet.

Partly they evaporated silently
rising back up into the skies
shaping fluffy clouds of purity.
Yet now they descend again upon me
as chatty snowflakes whispering.

A few of them melt on my tongue
as sizzling drops of distilled passion.
I swallow them with eagerness
before they race through my veins,
bringing back mid-summer heat.

Some have fun in messing up my hair
in lieu of your dancing fingers,
giving me this look of cheerfulness
despite my own imminent winter
right on the threshold to the beyond.

Your cherished words were dispersed
I assembled them into fragrant bouquets.

"Your Words," Margherita, is a celebration of love, laughter, sadness and the forevermore told by your own loving and quite artistically inclined . . . words.

Thank you, dear Jerry, for your loving comment! I love the idea of "celebration" in this context.

What I see, and read, are words like DNA molecules..The picture reminds me of the double helix of biology..the snowflakes are the protiens that make up the helical substructure..the alpha helices.

Thinking of that structure is what makes the poems words leap off the paper, and make an imprint on the DNA in my brain.

Love that when that happens...:-)

Wow, dear Ford, what an interesting comment. I love it, though I see that you have changed something, since I read it a while ago, but your interpretation did "impress" me too. I loved the picture of snowflakes especially because I could detect the infinite sign 8, though it is actually more helical indeed as you say, like the DNA structure. Thank you so much for telling me you enjoyed this!

Dear Ida, such a generous comment made me blush, thank you for saying such a nice thing! I am happy that you enjoyed it and considered it a little gift.

Love,
Margherita

Oh, Margherita, what an absolute delight!  I especially loved the way his words showered on you as petals and as snowflakes - what beautiful and joyous images, along with the rest too, of course!

Thank you, dear Tracie, for your loving generous comment. It's so nice when our words reach out and bring imagination.

Dear Owl, thank you so much for your loving reply. When we are open to the "showering" of thoughts, they are absorbed by our hearts in the same way as a snowflake upon warm skin ... the melting brings oneness.

Thank you kindly, dear Nicole, I enjoyed your comment, it's indeed all a matter of being able to listen.

Dear Martyjo, your presence always brings joy. Thank you so much for your delightful response!

Thank you so much, dear Yann, I do hope you savored to the fullest the true essence of Christmas. Your comment fills my heart with joy, thank you!

Dear James, thank you! It's a pleasure to know that you enjoyed this and find it valid.

Love to all,
Margherita

Ah, Margherita, this is a master piece.  It is exquisite - each word that is captured in the snow flakes, in the petals and in the air you breath.  Beautiful.

Thank you, dear Ruth, for your heartwarming comment. You too touch my heart ever so often with your splendid poetic offerings.

Dear Alison, beautiful Alaska girl, you surely know the charm of snowflakes better than any other. My memories "melt" me ... Thank you so much for your most generous comment.

Love and hugs to both.
