Maybe… Maybe I should have married this night the longest night of the year when the weather is more inclined to snuggling and cuddling, holding one’s hope in good cheer. Maybe I should have wedded this night solstice bringing the magic it does when hopes aren’t in vain and troubles refrain until starting after the New Year. Maybe… But we married in summer’s solstice when heat is all in bloom and no matter the time it’s a day most inclined with you sweating till ‘morrow’s noon. I wedded in the latter of June and not to rock the spirits advice but I knew my intended, our lives were already upended… and yes, our lives have seen some boon. but, Maybe… Maybe he should have listened to friends; I certainly have befriended his; man and woman in kind they shake their gray minds wondering who will be first to unwind. But here it is winter’s solstice, between the days of his and my birth we’re eight years apart loving’s become a fine art yet we’re closer – but only when throwing darts. Tongue in cheek, folks… That’s my story and I’m Sticking to it! © krj 12-22-11 |

Hah! I've made it my business to kinda stay away from the tongue in cheek situations, because you never know for sure what is tongue in cheek and what is the dad-blasted truth. Hah! ~*~ If they give you lined paper, write sideways. ~*~ |

Yeah, I screwed it up to, my friend ... we got married tomorrow . . . should'a done it today! Fact is we did get married - and would do it all over again. And tomorrow won't be quite as exciting as it was on that day 37 years ago, but it will certainly be just as warm tomorrow night as it was on that one way back then ... heh, heh --- and that's a promise. But then again , I guess you have to classify exciting , huh?? Enjoyed your words, my friend. j. |

Maybe ... but all I can see is that you are grateful for life's gifts and you express this truth always in the most loving ways, like here. We share our anniversary of June, dear friend, it surely was a blessing ... when we consider that we are both still together with our chosen ones. Love, Margherita |

interesting indeed ! I'm only an ever-so-humble 'Zen Naturalist' and sometimes "Romantic" ... I wish I could 'pen' the wide range of styles/topics that so many of you other fine folks do! |

when hopes aren’t in vain and troubles refrain until starting after the New Year. So THAT was the problem... I waited until just after the New Year to get married... when hopes were in vain and no furnace could melt the ice that quickly developed between us. (tongue also in cheek... or not *G*) I like your poetic pondering very much!! |

Maybe -- I do love this, Sunshine ... and I do hope that you both have really bad aim. Maybe you should have waited for the Equinox? xooxxo A |

Your ponderings are always a pleasure to behold. They are deeply infused with stark contrasts and the word "maybe" always carries a much heavier weight when used by you. Winter's Solstice is the longest night of the year and so some believe the darkest, but I do not believe so. There is a magic to it, and one that your "maybes" fit well with. I enjoyed this much.
