Wilderness Window on the Universe

In this ancient, deep-mountain home
of profoundly peaceful silence and
  gentle beauty,
all that lies beyond is empty
  and transient…
as smoke in a whirlwind,
lake bubbles reflecting
  lightning flashes,
images lost in dusty mirrors,
or the endlessly wandering
grains of Sahara sands…

Here, the clear mind is melody,
the spirit harmony…
that illuminate the universe!
In 'wilderness' is enlightenment
and the salvation of man.

There is a purity and grace about the wilderness that is found nowhere else, Bruce.
