Only because he's lonely. Under those apparently hard, mean eyes is a warm heart begging you to look at him with other eyes and to get to know him. Owl |

I love your backyard visitor, Jerry! The situation may have induced you to perceive him as mean, but in my opinion he just tried to conquer you with his power gaze. "Caw caw ... hey Jerry your backyard is a nice place! Can we be friends?" Very vivid scenery ... the other birds will come back, their going away was just a demonstration of respect. I love to observe the birds. Margherita |

Hah! Why am I not surprised at your take on my backyard visitor, Owl? He may be lonely, but that's because he is basically mean and a bully. No one is around because he chases them off. A social outcast> Haha! Thank you for stopping by. <><> Margherita, no, the other birds won't come back, they are afraid of the bully crow. Haha Gotta love it. I appreciate your being here. ~*~ If they give you lined paper, write sideways. ~*~ |

Funny, Jerry, when I hit the reply button Owl's comment wasn't there yet, so we expressed our opinion independently from each other. I bet you are not suprised at our reaction. A certain hierarchy exists of course ..., but I do hope the other birdies will be back, maybe at different times. Margherita |

You would be correct, Margherita, I wasn't at all surprised at yours and Owl's take on this poem. Unlike the bully crow I can handle some differences of opinion. Haha!! ~*~ If they give you lined paper, write sideways. ~*~ |

Maybe not this bird, JL, but you have seen crows and ravens (is there any difference>) before. Thank you for seeing them all. ~*~ If they give you lined paper, write sideways. ~*~ |

"speaking in tongues they can't understand" I love the way you express this Jerry and I love the blue black sheen of a crow's feathers. |
