Am I safe inside these walls of pain? There is no telling tales in rhyme to shades in shadows of my past, they remain in karmic ribbons wrapped at last in truth as all that keeps me sane; that I will not run in this life free again, I should feel more soft disdain and yet do not as brain recoils from casting rain of light leaks staining in through cracks in walls of stone worn thin by time. ©2011 by icebox |

I have conquered my wall of pain decades in doing so, but still . . . there is no going back in time It's just the now and forevermore . . . ~*~ If they give you lined paper, write sideways. ~*~ |

These are powerful words, dear Charly. Who is free from temptation? What a great title! That Lucifer was an Angel and I firmly believe in the end he will be an Angel again, for no one will be lost forever. Jesus said "Let him who is without sin cast the first stone". We may all be wrapped in those "karmic ribbons" (what a great expression!), but they will be unwrapped. And it is the awareness of having acted without love, that is the beginning of the healing. When we are aware of having hurt someone and feel unhappy about it, we instantly become again equally worthy of God's love and mercy. Your poem stirs emotions and thoughts around our human fragility. Thank you! Margherita |

"To Shake a Fist at Lucifer" Heartfelt poem, and I do understand. It seems frustrating to live with change in our abilities and circumstance. We indeed have the right "To Shake a Fist at Lucifer", and more! Good thing, he looses in the end, we win. JL Love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind. Love your neighbor as yourself. |

"They remain in karmic ribbons wrapped." Yes, I guess karma holds us all firmly in it's grasp. What a great line. Ida |

"Yea, though I walk through the valley . . . " Right or wrong, believe or not - the mind is the true guide of our soul. Well done, my friend. j. |
