I sit here In this desolate wasteland Called my room Counting Seconds, minutes, hours Only to notice That time for me Is standing still Lovecraftian horrors Appear like shadows on the wall As I stare into the distance Watching, waiting Unaware Of the world's affairs Only to be disturbed By eldritch tongues Spoken From the shades of blue That with midnight Softly appear... Like Night needs Day |

Desperation of horrors in the mind of H.P. Lovecraft. I think he was a little too consumed with weirdness. Things we needn’t fear at all, especially eldritch tongues. But your title makes the murky clear “Mind's Poison” I agree. Very interesting read. Enjoyed. JL ![]() Love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind. Love your neighbor as yourself. Maranatha! [This message has been edited by JL (12-03-2011 12:40 PM).] |

I like the uncommon words you choose to use, plus the fact that you write my kind of poetry. ark. Although these days I am writing more on the subject of love, or rather a particular woman who has beguiled me. Nice writing. ~*~ If they give you lined paper, write sideways. ~*~ |
