I took a walk to charge dead
walked for miles down sundown town
my mind on lovely
when I walked out lovely gave me a lie
said she could charge dead if I stayed
I knew she lied, lovely had no depth
she was, how you say, on-the-job-training
dead needed more than frantic wishing
sundown town gave way to country dirt
kicked a Coors Light can down dusty
kicking that can gave dead some grin
with lovely on my mind
I stepped up my pace seeking stunning

And I bet lovely would appreciate this poem too.
Very well written, vivid expressions.
Enjoyed this very much, Jerry!

This is creative expression to the max.  Enjoyed the scene, too.

Thank you so much, Nan, for your understanding comments. It is what we poets and dreamers live on, at least when it comes to our writings.
