Borne of the Human Race (From the Belly of the Beast) People jumping from airplanes Into the horrible midst of war What would Leonardo say Was that what the Wrights built, for? The bomb bay doors come open And they rain, destruction/death Indiscriminately killing all Within their width and breadth. They drop tanks, and artillery Bullets, band-aids and beans All designed to facilitate Death, to other human beings. “Fly like a bird!”, “Soar like an Eagle!” “Spread out your wings and fly!” So sad, so many of those flights Were just designed, so, people die‼ Borne of the human race From the belly of the beast The young and poor, sent off to war So, the powers that be, can feast. Maybe, someday, they’ll have enough And, the beast, will have its fill Maybe the Dove of peace, will fly But, looks like, it never will! It will, it will! You have done a great job here, dear Abe. The dream of flying has had manifestations that were most certainly not part of the original vision! Margherita |

How true, it looks that way; however, things aren't always as they appear, meaning peace may take over one day. The Hero Hidden Within Us All! |
