shackles inside you seizing your thoughts with no way out a crippling kind of terror sealing your words like a bricklayer seals the bricks for what are words but bricks of thoughts each has it own particular place to be according to the wordlayer's precise expectations when the shackles work their way inside and kept the words confined you begin to have nightmares in the daytime (would that be daymares?) if words are kept shackled for long stunted they will be no longer a vibrant part of anything destined to hobble down squalid alleys of the mind n'er contributing to the welfare and upkeep of the wordlayer until he mentally drops down in a stoop hunched over grasping for his tools -- (not fondling tool fool!) his words but the wordlayer is wordless and dies the ignoble demise equivalent to the death of a thousand cuts ©November 10, 2011 / Jerry Pat Bolton ~*~ If they give you lined paper, write sideways ~*~ |
