the doors of our lives . . . can be multifaceted, complex, and sometimes downright skuzzy still, every so often we open a special one which immediately makes us smile a chance encounter a special word Happiness 'R Us sometimes we find this new door to be almost virginal not having opened one in such a long time and, having stepped inside we are infused with a feeling of harmony it surrounds us it broadens, even wider our smile when we perchance find such a door close our eyes and ears to other worldly things and silently close it behind you ©November 7, 2011 / Jerry Pat Bolton ~*~ If they give you lined paper, write sideways ~*~ [This message has been edited by JerryPat2 (11-09-2011 07:28 PM).] |

Oh I like this Jerry! The door metaphor is great here. Love the ending. Lori |

Ah yes, some of us clamor for the need of a door, but never have the courage to open it or cross through when we do have one. To walk through is to live, to not cross is to stagnate, and die. Nice write, JP. I think I'll start looking for that door now. Michael |

I think you looking for that door is a grand idea, Michael. For one thing, if you find it, it will surely affect your sad poetry. Not complaining, buddy, I have written my fair share of sad poetry, but just saying . . . ~*~ If they give you lined paper, write sideways ~*~ |

I know doors. I write of them frequently. Skuzzy... I've seen a few doors like that. |

We have all seen the skuzzy side of our own particular doors, Sunshine. Thank you for reading my poem and commenting about it. ~*~ If they give you lined paper, write sideways ~*~ |
