My smile

my teeth

might fall in flank

nightmare's clench

could fleck and sprout

gums of loose roots in my mouth:

My teeth could fall in flank.

My hair might frizzle

and reside

in clover burrs caught in my brush

in waft to floor in spiral sighs

as I scrape my scalp for shine.

I might be vigorous in vain-

and crusty scabs leave their cremain

in silver combs, with pearl.

My eyes of blue will search for you.

My ears will tune to hear your voice.

I'll sponge my aged skin

(so thin)

with talcum

sprinkled over cream--

smeared in circles

that I feared

when I was young

and I wrote this

and music was my very name--

a signature

upon your lips?

Tremolo in

three quarter time.

Remember me.

Remember, this--

"I love you, love."

And numbers wish

to be so misaligned.

Excellent...reminds me of the feel of silk, and sipping Tia Maria...very smooth, and enjoyable.

You have the ability to go straight to my heart with your words... you may write your life, but oh, it touches mine. And because it does, I can say with conviction... remembering is guaranteed.

The music never stops, as you demonstrate so very well, dear Karen!

Impressive and poignant.

And numbers wish

This year, I will be [0]6
Next year, I will be 16 again...

Then the next year 26...

then the year after that, 36...

and in those three years,
I will know how swiftly
the first three decades
truly passed...

because I am still there
at any given time of day.

Sending my love, lovie.
