Listen to the snap of wood let me touch you let-me-sing silky slow soft lullabyes in the circling of these my fingertips above your eyes one firm hand upon your chest feeling for the Rise and Fall of Rome within your pulsing cleft just beneath your rib, a bird fluttering a starling scream of "let me out" I can't get out I weep to know that very thing. I wring a cloth and place it sweet across your throbbing eyes and dream: one day I'll fly away with you... until then I will rock and grieve twirling tiny fingerlings in your hair as breathlessly I swallow my despair. |

until then I will rock and grieve twirling tiny fingerlings in your hair as breathlessly I swallow my despair. And my throat has closed so I can't swallow... ((((HUGS)))) |

I hope it's not obnoxious of me to say you grieve beautifully... for you do. When you are cut and bleeding, your words are strongest. This is the elegant proof of precious memory, and the precious soul it resides within. Thank you for sharing. Michael |

Um. smile I wrote this immediately after telling him goodnight. I mourn his absence before the door is even shut. I feel all blushy now. Sheesh. |
