Finding Myself Again… The powers that amuse the cosmos Have universally shifted my center core… No longer am I Sagittarian, Turquoise in my eyes My bow at the ready, my eyes On the prize, no… Now behind some sun, lies an old New sign, that of A serpent bearer, an unceasingly gentle What? A giant? A Greek god of medicine And healing powers, holding a serpent Of rebirth, offering cures to all Who might become sick by their dreams. Who is to trust me, albeit my Stone is now crystal (and many believe In the powers of crystals.) For if I am truly Ophiucus, or Serpentarius as yet another name, Apparently I can now use My gifts in a positive and active way, That I might fulfill my soul and Rest in my easy. (I thought I had…) But I doubt that I will gather peonies… But try as they might, we Sags may not live long Under this new sign…as naysayers want to Rid the skies of this new ride…so I shall Watch both signs while I may And listen to my own counsel… Just as I have always done. ~*~ © KRJ 23 January 2011 |

Hah! Amen. Aries born, Aries die. Silly. But your poem was anything but silly, and, in the end, after all that had been said, you rocked, "Just as I have always done." ~ Good health is merely the slowest possible rate at which one can die. ~ |
