. I don’t undress her This woman nearer To my age I leave her fully clothed In an image of her youth And mine We then make believe With words full of illusions Of love and bed Given we’ll go in the end Once more to our separate lives Apart as usual with nothing More to be said Knowing now if allowed Another decade or two Should we meet again In some aisle or twilit corridor Neither will remember The other’s name . |
