Here My Dear Here my dear, I am near to you only one way out in easy view and you said you could bring comfort for me in a small gypsy bag of feathers and tea in a haze, disappear in a maze of mystic eyes and streetlamps flicker, the steam will rise when you bring Belfast rain in bottles of green pouring sad stories, awkward waltzes and dreams gardens wet with storms splash and cry for your dark astral figure to walk on by Here my dear, I am hearing you come down from your full white moon 'cause you said you would be my spring sun paint of berries, brush of horses that run a wild, wild path tracing your grace, child and you bring mandolin rain in perfect clarity stringing my hopes with your precious care for me thunder cracks a crooked line in the dirt do your lunar phases always have to hurt? And there's only one way out of here, my dear there's only one road to go, through the snow to go straight back to Chelsea Here my dear, I'm in fear for you studying black magick and dark runes and I said you should dance away my pain in a gypsy trance, burning up the rain never fail to blow the wind into my sails crying sea chanties, tied to the back of a whale my heart is a cannonball, I'll blow it away so you can see now, it's just my way And there's only one way out of here, my dear there's only one star to see, over the sea that leads straight back to Chelsea Here my dear I'm always near for you here my dear you're always an easy view showin' the way, gypsy feathers you wore point back towards a distant Chelsea shore (Happy Birthday Beth!) Very interesting and different Happy Birthday wish, and one I approve of very much, and I know Beth does also. Yes, this is innovative. ~* If they give you lined paper, write the other way. ~*~ |
