I Leave You This To scroll some thoughts across a page Is to gift them to another age For everything that goes unsaid Are written verses to be read I do not dream to travel far To where exotic places are For I am prisoner of my skin And a disease which lives within But I have many words to write And thoughts which gather in the night And in the dawn I leave you this My silhouette carved in the mist Elizabeth Santos |

I hear you, Elizabeth. This is a very good poem which explains much and reaches out to many. ~* The saddest words of tongue or pen are the words It might have been.--John Greenleaf Whittier ~*~ |

But I have many words to write And thoughts which gather in the night And in the dawn I leave you this My silhouette carved in the mist And those words slip right into our hearts... and we're better for their residence. *S* |

Elizabeth, this is beautiful… and you’re right, a poet’s words transcend the ages. The soul of a poet lives in his/her words forever… to be viewed by countless generations to follow. It’s so good to see you here again. I hope to see more from you & will keep you in prayer. Michael |

Dear Liz, Dare I say fellow poet, mentor, friend. Your words have touched many here, and have pierced the fog more than once, doing so with a style that is uniquely yours. It is my continued hope that the years will find you well. Doc |
