THE NOTE
18 October 2011

Today, I wrote you a note
to tell you
that yesterday
I bought brown bread
and snow-white milk
and smiled at the happy clouds
and the sea-blue sky
and the warm sun
then
I tossed the paper
into the wastepaper-basket
and the words
into the wind
and I know
you found them.

I love this.
It reminds me of how I feel when I read William Carlos Williams...and that is a good feeling.
