Love Is . . . |

Love. What is it? Describe it for me please. I mean, how do you go about it? Do you have a certain hunch? Because you see someone you'd like to go to bed with, Izat it, izat love? Huh? Whadda say? Love. Will love make you want to disrupt your life to accommodate the one you love? What happens when one accommodates more? Is that love? You say to me, yes, it is love because you love enough to give more. Uh huh, I understand, but does that mean the one doing all the taking doesn't love? Or at least not as much as you? Is there such a thing as falling out of love, and how do you do that? Maybe one day you realize that you're doing all the giving. Would that make a difference and send love packing? Or, is it possible to wear love like a pair of gloves, removing it when it pleases you replacing it when you think the time is right. Oh, and can anyone fall in love? Question is being asked because I see so many people (poets mainly) yearning for love, yet love never wanders down their street. Can a fool love? More to the point, can love fool you? If you press your lips against another, is that love? Maybe you have to slip in a little tongue, that would surely be love, huh? Of course too much of the tongue-tied together (thank you Lori) will find you buck-ass naked in bed or a backseat in a secluded place. Or wherever. Somehow you always find a place. And during this exciting and stimulating tryst one of you mouths I love youuuu. Well, you have to mouth it back, don't'cha? Getting off track heah. Lost my train of thought. (Wonder who first said train of thought?) Love. What is it? ©October 17, 2011 / Jerry Pat Bolton ~* The saddest words of tongue or pen are the words It might have been.--John Greenleaf Whittier ~*~ |

You are more than welcome, I'm flattered. Dearest poet your question has been posed since love began. And it is of the poets an answer they demand. There are all kinds of love. What love are you wanting to know more about? Lori |

Just a poem, Lori, I know about love about as much as anyone does, I think. Just a poem. ~* The saddest words of tongue or pen are the words It might have been.--John Greenleaf Whittier ~*~ |

I know it is just a poem my friend, and it is a darn good one. I also know you know about love because I've read your work. You know me, sometimes my comments are a little off the wall... |

Can a fool love? More to the point, can love fool you? Speaking strictly from personal experience... Most definitely YES to both! LOL I enjoyed this poetic ponder. *S* |

Love should be simple but we would miss out on the attempts to define in poetic intoxication that draws us to words such as yours |

Yep, it is that, JL, thanks for stopping by. <><><> suthern, I am convinced most people will answer yes to those two questions also. Appreciate you being here. <><><> Ah, love should be simple, EmmaRose, but it is not.
