It’s been silent all these years
Where the cupboards use to wake every Sunday
They now sit in silence
Waiting for my hand to touch their chapped wooden hearts

It’s still a part of me
For I rose through what I could see
the heart shaped face under a light, grey sea

A silence that bears a liking to the bridges
That sit to the far east of where I use to reserve my thoughts
Like the tiniest cracks of the walls in my home

It’s been too long all these years
All the pent up fears
The silence never seemed so near

It never seemed quite right
The way a man can lose his thoughts
Just for a second, those splitting years

But this is the way we are
To fight for the long year
To have the silence by our side
All these years.

The dynamics of our lives are intriguing and something that seems to change while remaining the same.

Nice to ponder to your thoughts~

Very nicely done... and I see you have conjured, for when I read "silence" in that second-to-last line it comes through as "message"...
