Games and stories, that's what we had

Remiscing those moments makes me sad

You gave me everything and im glad

But somehow, it makes me feel bad.
You weren't there when i needed someone

You weren't there when a good job was done

I've always wished that time will come

All our memories will be back somehow.
Dad i miss you, yes i do

I want so bad to spend again my time with you

I wish i could still be that little one

Who knows nothing but games and fun.
I know it hurts you too

Living away from us makes you blue

I know i have to understand

It's just that, I still need your hand.
Mom was always there

Loving us, and for that I adore her

But still, I feel like something is missing

Dad, it's you who'll complete my being.
I know I must stand on my own

Make my decisions alone

And even without you, I must go along

Because you taught me to be strong.
Still, I need you by my side

To praise me and boost my pride

Show me how wrong I am

And tell me that life is'nt just about fun.
You may not be a perfect dad

But you're the greatest gift i've ever had

Our love, you may not always feel

So i'm telling you "ILOVEYOU", and that's for real!!!

Those three little words are so hard for so many to say... especially when stepping out on their own, finally releasing the hands of their parents to come into their own. I'm glad you found the words for your father.
