It is cold
The wind is strong
And there is snow
On the dunes

We’re only here
To be alone

Together
Where others that
Know us each separately
Won’t be surprised

Or shocked
We are so different
No one would believe it if
They didn’t see us like this
With their own cynical eyes

The chill
Reddens your cheeks

I hold you close
Against the wind
They them and anyone
Else who might take
Issue with our being

Let them worship
Their sneering gods
As they may

Who are they
As must be obeyed
By Adam and his Eve

I enjoyed this scenario with smiling eyes. Togetherness bridging the differences is perfection also in God's eyes.
