quixote woman of the dawning of sighs do you ride your magic carpet there where the tree people are voices in wind and the birds make songs with their wings do you kneel on sand castle pillows then and pray prayers that rhyme in your mind like the heartbeats of lovers blending souls and is your god within the folding of your hands are there windows without glass in walls that never listen when you tell secrets and doors that have openings to find those dark things you hid in the mid light and do you know the language of the butterfly __________ daark |

I found a dying luna moth Saturday... I couldn't save him, but protected him from the ants while fragile life slipped away. Reading this poem was like holding that kind of beauty in my hand... a privilege. |
