I have yet to forgive myself or come to terms with my fate. I have yet to become who I am and can no longer wait. We have gone through many lives, or should I say many phases in one? I say "we" meaning "all of you and I" knowing well where we've begun. Seems things are different now. There's not much I can do. Suppose you can hit me up on Facebook to hear from you. I have no words left in me to share with the mass, no happy or sad, just indifference I might have always had... learning nothing from class. I remain uneducated, just me. Look at the word, what do you see? Uneducated. Uneducated. A 2 year degree. The long and winding road is waiting for me. |

Many so called "educated" people never reach the insight of so called "uneducated" people, it's not a question of knowing more and more no doubt, it's a question of THINKING more with our own mind and heart, true knowledge is embedded deep within our hearts. Some miss that opportunity, you have not missed it. The road leads upwards, dear Dixie, always. We only need to grow in AWARENESS. Effective write! Love, Margherita |

I think "words" are not the problem (there are millions of words waiting to be arranged, rearranged, etc) the problem --sometimes-- is we "plateau" at times--where our creative juices come to an impasse-and we are unable to move foreward--or offer anything resembling creativity--but I'm not disconsolate over that--I know it will pass--so I read & read & study the works of others--like your excellent poem about being ready to turn another corner--in that long and winding road. Stay with it, Dixie Enjoyed the read, Al |

"I have yet to become who I am and can no longer wait." You'd feel this with a thousand papers of legitimacy beneath your feet. I swear to you. You don't need that stuff. You've got the stuff. |

Some of the smartest and most knowledgable people I know don't have a lot of formal education or a bunch of degree initials after their name. A diploma should be a goal or a tool, not a final destination. It's hard to write while your feet are in motion, but when you find a rest stop on that road... the words will be there waiting. *S* |

Man can I relate to this. A well worded way of provoking thought. |

Dixie, when my two oldest were going into Junior High School, I hurried and signed up at my old high school to go for the next two years to Night School just to be able to graduate and let my children know I thought it important, before they were going to be going there. I do not know what I learned that I had not already learned but the discipline was good for me and the piece of paper were needed. You had a better education than many others and certainly than I. I am telling you this to let you know I understand. But you have more than a formal education, and have a lot to do with the rest of your life. Go ahead and do it, you do not need any one else's approval but your own. Always remember, You Are Loved,jo |
